2. If you are fortunate enough to have a space dedicated for painting keep all your supplies right there. This way you can paint whenever the spirit moves you. This is more prominent than you may think. If you do not have enough space, then buy a large study bin or even a sturdy cardboard box and make that your portable studio that you can unload on the kitchen table in an instant.
3. Reconsider the light in the space that you plan on working. Good light makes all the difference. If you are painting with oil paint and it is not water miscible then you well need to Reconsider the ventilation in the area because you will be exposed to some pretty strong odors.
4. If money is a concern then I propose beginning with watercolor or acrylics. They both are odorless and clean up with water. They are also less expensive.
Now that you have your supplies and your dedicated space, start painting. If you are real creative, you can come up with your own ideas. But for the rest of us inspiration is not so well come by. For those of you that fall into that class I propose purchasing a step by step tutorial and start by following the example of person that is dedicated to teaching art techniques.

friend and client who had a designer originate some Dvd cover art for her a while
back. In the process the artist fast created a sort of a logo for her and
slapped it on the Dvd cover. The logo was designed in a raster format.
On the Dvds her logo looked fine, so Mindi didn't think anything of it. Recently
she made a decision to have a trade show banner created and wanted to use the
same logo. That's where things got complicated. Mindi's logo was created in
a raster format, and when you develop it to banner size it doesn't look so good.
In fact, it looked "fuzzy" or "jagged" - not the expert image she was
shooting for.
Mindi was faced with a difficult decision because her logo was not created
correctly in vector format. She could just not use the logo or have
the logo recreated in vector form, which will cost her some time and money.
Either way, the decision was not a fun one.
If you intend on using your logo for more than just business cards you print
out on your computer you want to ensure you know your logo is being created
in vector format so you can avoid the quandary Mindi found herself in. So remember,

Just to interpret the process I'll break it down into 5 easy stages
1. Upload the image(s) that you wish to sell on eBay to your free on-line Gallery
2. originate a web sized image no bigger than 1000 x 1000 pixels to place on your eBay listing.
3. Write the ad for eBay using their templates if required.
4. When the item is sold you will receive the Auction total into your PayPal catalogue (or cheque/cash if you haven't a PayPal account).
5. You then order the print/item directly with printers as a gift item stating the buyers address. Take away the cost of the print from the auction total and that's your profit.
So how do you go about setting the business up and how easy is it?
First of all you need to get registered with eBay, if you aren't already. This is a straightforward process of filling in a registration form.
Next you need a PayPal account. Not that it's critical but it does make life a lot easier. Again this is a fairly straightforward process of filling in a registration form. You do need to fill in your Bank details and they do test the account, but it's nothing to worry about.
Then you need to register with Photobox. They will act as your printers. The great thing about Photobox is that they will send your framed picture directly to the buyer when you order it. So all you need to do is place the order, pay for it and let Photobox do the rest.
And don't forget you can have free gallery's with Photobox so you can plainly send possible buyers there. You don't have to stop at just prints either. You can sell mugs, jigsaw puzzles, coasters even wear the Tee Shirt. The only limit is your imagination.
Right, so now you have both eBay and PayPal accounts. You have registered with Photobox and you have set up your gallery. Great.. Let's get things moving!
The first thing that I propose that you do is to get ready a test order. Pick one of your images that you have in your gallery and buy it as a print or whatever. This will give you an indication of the quality and delivery times etc that you can put in your eBay ad.
With Photobox you can order the item to be sent as a gift. This means that your order will go to a designated address and they will not put a priced invoice with the order, Therefore the buyer does not know the cost to you.

The corresponding Federal Rule 34(b) measure, passed at the same time as Federal Rule 34(a), allows the requesting party to resolve the form in which evidence is presented. This detail, known as the "mandatory cost shifting position" is an leading legal point for both clients and their attorneys to know. With Rule196.4 at their disposal, opposing counsel will work to prove the requests to be unreasonable and you will be stuck with the cost of production. Lots of population get stuck into doing acrylics, watercolors or feel content to just draw. That is fine of course, those mediums are great, but oil painting need not be excluded because you think it is too hard.
I confess! When I first started painting with oils? I felt it was just so astonishing to begin.
One thing I would do to get over fear of painting, and this is not exclusive to oils, is be a Jackson Pollack for the day. You can still slather on the paint to originate pictures of cats, drawings of scorpions or fantasy fairies, just be loose about it. No pressure for realism.
Turn on your favorite music, pump up the volume and get ready for an art dance, or should we call it a dance of learning to play with art?
First find a piece of plywood lying around, or whatever really. crusade out some old house paint or go to the hardware store and buy some of their sale stuff.. Just a few colors is fine. It does not have to be a major expense, in fact, that is the point, in order to free yourself up, it needs to be as petite cost as possible. Find some old junk.. Old jewelry, even Christmas wrapping paper or weird things you come across. Next take it all face and Play! Just Play.. No pressure for whatever to turn out. Dump stuff on the plywood and be a Pollack for the day. Let it dry and then go back and play again over the same piece, construction up a patina effect. Metallic paints are great for this too!
Ok, so after that you should feel a sure sense of leisure about painting. Now lets try some oils on canvas! How fun! (Yup no grumbling, this is gonna be fun.)
When oils are thinned down with turpentine they have a lot more ease. You can make it all really sloshiy (my word for messy) and Playful! That doesn't mean you only use thinned down oils but just think about that and use it as you will. Start out thin and end with thick.
First paint a background on as large a canvas as you can. The larger the better. I find that if you paint a small work it is really more scary. You tend to tighten up and fret more. When the canvas is big you Know you have to really get in there and paint or it will take you forever. There is leisure to it.
Try 'sketching' with your sloshy colors and oil paints. starting with your darkest colors 'slather' on your base, be it fantasy art warrior women, images taken from female photography, or lords of the middle ages Play. Then let it sit for a day or two. Go back after some drying time and add your medium toned colors, then let that sit..
