Just to interpret the process I'll break it down into 5 easy stages

1. Upload the image(s) that you wish to sell on eBay to your free on-line Gallery

2. originate a web sized image no bigger than 1000 x 1000 pixels to place on your eBay listing.

3. Write the ad for eBay using their templates if required.

4. When the item is sold you will receive the Auction total into your PayPal catalogue (or cheque/cash if you haven't a PayPal account).

5. You then order the print/item directly with printers as a gift item stating the buyers address. Take away the cost of the print from the auction total and that's your profit.

So how do you go about setting the business up and how easy is it?

First of all you need to get registered with eBay, if you aren't already. This is a straightforward process of filling in a registration form.

Next you need a PayPal account. Not that it's critical but it does make life a lot easier. Again this is a fairly straightforward process of filling in a registration form. You do need to fill in your Bank details and they do test the account, but it's nothing to worry about.

Then you need to register with Photobox. They will act as your printers. The great thing about Photobox is that they will send your framed picture directly to the buyer when you order it. So all you need to do is place the order, pay for it and let Photobox do the rest.

And don't forget you can have free gallery's with Photobox so you can plainly send possible buyers there. You don't have to stop at just prints either. You can sell mugs, jigsaw puzzles, coasters even wear the Tee Shirt. The only limit is your imagination.

Right, so now you have both eBay and PayPal accounts. You have registered with Photobox and you have set up your gallery. Great.. Let's get things moving!

The first thing that I propose that you do is to get ready a test order. Pick one of your images that you have in your gallery and buy it as a print or whatever. This will give you an indication of the quality and delivery times etc that you can put in your eBay ad.

With Photobox you can order the item to be sent as a gift. This means that your order will go to a designated address and they will not put a priced invoice with the order, Therefore the buyer does not know the cost to you.

Writing your eBay ad is pretty easy. I propose that you take a look at the other advertisers selling their images. The type that you will be advertising under is 'Artists (Self Representing) Photographs'

eBay also have a range of templates so you can quite no ifs ands or buts customise your ad to make it stand out. Add a brief bio about yourself to the auction listing. This gives the possible bidder a personal connection with you. It's also worth setting up your about me page and telling them what you do, what you picture and how you do it.

There is a lot of info and articles about writing your eBay listing so I propose that you read them. Take notes and originate a listing that will stand out. Adding your image is quite straightforward and is pretty level forward when you are creating your listing.

Once you have received cost for the item place the order with Photobox. Email the buyer that you have received the cost and thank him/her for their order. A few days later when the item will have arrived with the buyer, send another email thanking them for the order once more and saying that you will leave certain feedback. Again this is fully explained on eBay. But this time add a link to your Photobox Gallery. Hopefully they may visit your on-line gallery and make added purchases. If they do, then you have no work to do for this added income.

Another advantage from registering with Photobox is the free galleries. Once your images are uploaded you can set your prices and send your link to possible customers.

Using Photobox, why not take photographs of the guests at a party and upload them to a gallery. Set up the gallery before you go to the party and note the page address. originate a straightforward compliment slip with your name etc on and add the link. Print them out and give them to the guests. It could be a nice miniature earner!
